Description: On June 21st 2008 we had our first Golf Salamader Cup in the US! We had over 20 people playing from different parts of the US at an incredible location, Bethpage Park, where the 2009 US open will be played. A BIG THANK YOU to Darach for a wonderful organization! The final winner, and Champion holder of the Cup is Andrew Jamison, who superbly managed to tackle the difficult course and played better than his handicap, in particular with a great finishing hole. WELL DONE ANDREW! I think there will be a few people ready to challenge you next year! The longest drive, a whooping 282 yards on the 15th hole went to our great organizer, Darach Chapman. Closest to the pin competition went to Richard Shaer, just 5 feet! And the best group went to Pascaline Servan Shreiber, Evan McCordick and Tommaso Trionfi. The day was just perfect, lots of sunshine, but not too hot, a magnificent course and great people to play with. Our scores ranged from 75 to 110, so I am sure every golfer will find his/her match!
