Well! I don't know about you, but the INSEAD Winter Ball this Dec 8 was one of the best parties I've been to in a while. It was so much FUN. Great space (beautiful actually - the River Club -- very New York), delicious food (incredibly so) - and a fantastic live band (Joe Claffey and his band)!
So much so, I'm still in recovery mode after all that dancing.
The party took off mid dinner -- as people just started dancing and did not stop till the band packed up.
Photos are floating about - and be warned! They will be published on this website for sure and will likely turn up on Facebook or some place.
It bears repeating -- the alumni we have in the Tri-State region are an amazing FUN bunch. Last Saturday was no exception - a great cross section of 
society, and a range of people from different INSEAD promotions, and all walks of life -- but all united in their incredible energy, joie de vivre and willingness to just talk to everyone at the party -- and the fact that they all went to INSEAD.
A big thank you to all the sponsors -- we had some AMAZING prizes for the silent auction, raffles, goody bags... quite incredible! (Le Sereno, travel packages, MaMaison, LVMH, Gilt Groupe, Cartier, Baum et Mercier, CVS, L'Oreal, yoga sessions, coaching sessions ...)
But most of all (and this is really true) a huge thank you to everyone who helped. From donating prizes, to coaxing people to donate time, to coming in early to help on the day of, to helping with selling raffles or registring guests. There is absolutely no way things at an INSEAD event can get done without everyone pitching in. And people did - thank you all so much.
Next up: The Holidays! I wish you all a happy end of year and best wishes for a great start in 2008. And make sure you turn up for the INSEAD events in the New Year - check the calendar.
Keep Feb 5 open - Yves Doz (INSEAD prof) is launching his book Fast Strategy in NYC (published by Wharton). Check the calendar for details. Word is out that we may be swamped with Wharton Alumni (gasp!) - so do come out and support your b-school.
