Our INSEAD staff representative on these occasions will be Christina Vincensini, MBA Admissions Officer.
The MBA Tour is a special fair at which INSEAD, together with the top business schools in the world, occupies a stand to meet with, and disseminates information to potential MBA candidates. Christina will be handling the INSEAD stand for the whole duration of the fair. We would be very grateful if you would be able to attend to help her at the INSEAD stand. Who can convey the INSEAD experience better than you?
The INSEAD MBA Information Sessions are information events organised by INSEAD to present the INSEAD MBA Programme to potential MBA candidates. They will consist of a welcome by the host, a presentation of the INSEAD MBA Programme by Christina, comments from INSEAD MBA alumni and a question & answer session. They will be followed by a cocktail at which potential candidates will be able to mix informally with graduates of the Programme. We would be very grateful if you could join us!
Your role, in any of these events, would mainly consist in answering the questions of potential MBA candidates and sharing your personal experience of the school with them. A strong alumni presence is an essential element in a candidate?s appreciation of the quality and attractiveness of the school, and is therefore extremely important to us as we remain very much committed to strengthening our position in North America. If you are available and willing to help our recruiting effort, we would greatly appreciate your assistance.
If it IS possible for you to join us for any of these events, please contact Isabelle Cvar by e-mail: or fax 33-1 60 74 55 30). We will get in touch with you again with more details and an FAQ list a few days before the event.
If you have colleagues or friends who you feel may be good potential candidates and who may be interested in attending any of these events, please refer them to the following websites for more details/pre-registration:
We do hope to have the pleasure of meeting you again in San Francisco or Seattle next month!
Isabelle Cvar, Events Officer, MBA Programme

INSEAD in the News ? January 2007
In January, two interviews with INSEAD Dean Frank Brown appeared in top-tier American business publications: U.S. News and World Report, and Forbes.com. The Wall Street Journal carried a story on INSEAD?s Innovation Report, ranking the United States the number one country for innovation in the world. The full report was published in this month?s edition of World Business, the INSEAD magazine. INSEAD Professor Herminia Ibarra lent her expertise on leadership to the New York Times for a piece on ?Networking Leaders.?
Thanks to CJP, INSEAD?s PR firm in the U.S., stories on INSEAD and mentions of the school in the U.S. press have been steadily growing. As alumni, you can do your part to contribute to the growing press coverage by mentioning your INSEAD degree and the role it has played in your career whenever you are interviewed by the press. Also, help CJP find stories on prominent U.S. INSEAD alumni by sending your ideas to insead-pr at cjpcom.com.

Even in today's age of cell phones, Blackberries and Web 2.0 social networking sites that constantly keep us in touch with one another, savvy entrepreneurs and business men understand the real value of a hand shake and shared food and drink in doing business and building successful companies. GuanXi, the Chinese words for "connection" and "relationships" succinctly describes this concept, which forms the corner stones of all Asian business culture.
In celebration of the New Year and relationships, CSPA and our partner organziations, SABA and Monte Jade have arranged a meeting of new technology businesses within the halls of the Computer History museum to foster old relationships and create new ones.
Led by an inspiring message from Kevin Fong, Managing Director of the Mayfield Fund and a visionary in the Valley, this event brings together professionals in technology, business, venture capital and law, and highlights the underpinnings of business dealings of GuanXi.Come and join us for a great evening of networking and camaraderie - catch up with old colleagues, make new friends, form new business ventures, explore a visual history of the computer, and join us and San Jose Taiko in bringing in 2007 with a loud bang!
