Dear Alumni,
The INSEAD USA Alumni Association is pleased to introduce our new online Community website. This site takes advantage of Web 2.0 technologies to allow alumni to collaborate, communicate and keep informed of goings on in the INSEAD Alumni Community. The website will be accessible, starting later this week, at www.inseadusa.com. The former website has been retired after serving us well for many years. You will be receiving your log in credentials via email during the course of the upcoming week.
The site is divided into a public portion that anybody can access, and a secure portion that requires you to log in with the credentials provided above. To take full advantage of the new capabilities we encourage you to log in. If, for any reason, you either don't receive your credentials or you have trouble accessing the secure portion of the site, please contact us.
In introducing our new web presence, we have created an information portal and collaboration environment with many new capabilities. It will allow alumni to keep abreast of topics and activities of interest by subscribing to networks of your choice, to blog, to track events in your region and around the country. We are specifically looking for blog leaders from each promotion to become blog administrators for your alumni year. If you would like to become one of the adminstrators, please email us.
I'd like to thank Rich Pulliam and Henry Greulich, both MBA '04D, for their help and offer to use their product, Community Assistant, of their startup company, MyAmphi. Thanks as well to our national alumni team and regional presidents who have helped populate our site with relevant news, information and events.
We look to you, the INSEAD alumni community to help make this new presence a dynamic and interesting place to visit, chat or just stay informed. We welcome your comments on the new web presence and your suggestions on content and capabilities that you'd like to see on the portal.
Regards,
Bob Stillerman , MBA '77, VP Communications

Happenings in the INSEAD Community
Reaching out to INSEAD Alumni through the Address Book
You are all familiar with the IAA Address Book, which contains details for our 35 000 Alumni in over 150 countries. The Book is an essential tool to keep the alumni community connected and strong. It also presents a fantastic opportunity to expose your company or service to a targeted global consumer.
Advertising in the Address Book is not only a business opportunity, but a portion of your advertising dollars are directed to help support the International Alumni Association of INSEAD – run independently by you, the alumni, in close partnership with the School.
For further information please contact : Rémy-D.M. TAÏEB, advertising agency for INSEAD Alumni Association.

These Forté Fairs are special events designed for women, providing them a distinctive mix of business education, senior-level mentoring and network development. Attendees learn about business careers and how business education and networks can help them reach their leadership, business, and personal goals. These events are designed to:
- Show how successful women use their MBA degree in various careers
- Provide networking opportunities
- Demonstrate how an MBA can provide flexibility both professionally and personally
- Meet and speak with business school representatives from member schools
INSEAD, together with other top business schools in the world, will occupy a stand to meet with, and disseminate information to potential women MBA candidates. An INSEAD representative will be handling the INSEAD stand in each city for the whole fair, except in Atlanta and New York City II (where we would be very grateful if one or two alumnae could represent us) due to staffing issues. We would be very grateful if you would be able to attend for any of the 2 time slots proposed (see below) depending on your availability, to help our representative at the INSEAD stand. Who can convey the INSEAD experience better than you?
Your role, if you decide to come, will mainly consist in answering questions of potential women MBA candidates, and sharing your personal experience of the school with them. Your presence is extremely important to us as we remain very much committed to increasing the number of women in our MBA Programme. We are happy to announce that we have increased our number of women in our MBA programme with the September 2007 intake to 27% and would like to maintain or even improve this number. If you are available and willing to help our recruiting effort, we would very much appreciate your assistance.
If it IS possible for you to join us at any of these events, please return me the response form below (e-mail: isabelle.cvar@insead.edu or fax +33-1 60 74 55 30). Please do not forget to indicate your preferred time slot!
If you have women colleagues or friends who are interested in finding out more about the INSEAD MBA and whom you feel may be good potential candidates, please refer them to the following website for more details/pre-registration: www.fortefoundation.org However, please note that registration for the New York event I is already closed.

Your role would mainly consist in answering the questions of potential MBA candidates visiting our stand and sharing your personal experience of the school with them. A strong alumni presence is an essential element in a candidate’s appreciation of the quality and attractiveness of the school, and is therefore extremely important to us as we remain very much committed to strengthening our position in the USA. If you are available and willing to help our recruiting effort, we would greatly appreciate your assistance.
If it IS possible for you to join us at any of these events, please return to me the response form below (e-mail: isabelle.cvar@insead.edu or fax +33-1 60 74 55 30). Please do not forget to indicate your preferred time slot!

Florida, Darach Chapman, MBA '03J, President, Florida
Early in the summer we enjoyed a very intimate Florida golf outing... (Zarate, Chapman, Wenk-Wolff)..

The following month, in an unrelated story, Kai Wenk-Wolff decided to move to San Diego....
Kai (MBA in the late sixties) was one of the most active and enthusiastic members of our Florida group and will be sorely missed. A privileged few enjoyed his parting words over cocktails at the Biltmore Hotel (below).

The Chicago July 14 party was a lot of fun - we had 18 people in total, could not find a French flag for decoration, but compensated with lots of wine and champagne. It made for a fun evening.
